adorable project for a renegade mitten. speaking of renegade items, i lost my umbrella in san francisco (sounds like a song)... just in time for a week of rain in chicago. parfait.via bbblog

saw this a couple weeks ago on another site but didn't take note of it. glad to see it again here. not so much because i intend on actually making them, but to remind myself that i love this general look. one of my favorite brunch spots in chicago, longman & eagle, has arrows in vases lined along a back wall, and i was thinking it could be a really cute table centerpiece or accent wherever... only i'd rather just buy the vintage arrows someplace...this seems like a lotta work. albeit fun. first things first, i need to figure out how to use the sewing machine my mom got me last christmas. this must be done before another christmas rolls around or i will feel so guilty!! and useless!!

Cute idea. These are actually made by a designer, but it seems like something you could do at home to spice up a boring lampshade. 8.11.2009

This is a great decorating idea for people with scraps of cool fabric laying around... a wall of coordinating embroidery hoops. I like it. It could really help soften the edges in apartments (like mine) that are filled with beaucoup de straight lines and ninety degree angles.c/o at

I love this idea for a headboard (and I haven't had a headboard on my bed in years). The way it combines the vintage look of iron with the comfy (and silent) cushioning is pretty genius. I wouldn't begin to ever try to make this myself (the result would, undoubtedly, be laughable), but I love it all the same.
