cute in a tree

...under the snow. 1 more b/c i couldn't not. this owl slept right through a snowfall it seems... hope he's ok under there. must be chilly. makes me shiver just lookin' at him.

lots in the pipe

but no time to post.... end of the month billing and such have me all over the place. would rather be all over the gorgeous globe like these pretty butterfly embellishments. been seeing a lot of this lately, and what a wonderful idea. will figure out where this beauty came from and give it its due when i'm back on normal time... a couple days it should be. til then.

so darn cute

he pegged it

this has got to be one of the coolest coatracks ever. too bad it's also one of the most expensive. not even within reach, people, not even close. woodworking class, anyone....

we're on the run

me likey. maybe a little more vampire weekend than i'd prefer but for the female vocals. promising. hear more here.

yep, they're band-aids

i hate band-aids. they smell funny, they hurt coming off and they give me a rash that sometimes lasts months (sensitive eastern european skin genes, i've been told). these band-aids, on the other hand, i love. they wouldn't solve any of the aforementioned issues, but they'd look good whilst stinking, painfully pulling out my hairs and giving me a rash.

i've been framed

no wait, these have been framed. i simply adore these. via

true

i really do. it's shameful. the contents of my fridge can be stated in a line or two: half lemon, onion, american cheese, string cheese, parmesan cheese (what?), condiments, coconut water, v8, olives. i kid you not. i just made that list by memory, that's how much i need some fucking groceries. but if you think for a second i plan on stepping foot inside a grocery store anywhere near thanksgiving, you must be out of your ever-loving mind.

let there be light

if i find myself with some free time in the near future, i'd like to make myself one of these shades... so pretty. or, if i find myself with some extra money, i could just buy one from umbu.

literary jewels

Paper is many things: a carrier of text, illustration, history and emotion.

Jeremy May has captured the beauty of paper via a unique laminating process. Littlefly jewellery is made by laminating hundreds sheets of paper together, then carefully finishing to a high gloss. The paper is selected and carefully removed from a book, and the jewellery re-inserted in the excavated space.

Each piece is impossible to replicate, and is unique to the wearer. The beauty of the jewels extends within the piece: text and images pass all the way though the object, only exposed at the surfaces – giving a tantalising glimpse of the book within.

these rings are some of the most brilliant i have seen in a very long time. gorgeous. unique. and made of a book!! what? yes! want proof? the book from which your ring was born becomes your ring's unique gift box. you can even contact Littlefly to have your favorite book turned into your soon-to-be-favorite ring. a truly original and beautiful idea. can you tell how much i love it.

hello, sunshine

come on back now y'hear.

pretty as golden curtains

simply pretty. i could definitely live in this room.

Mamika, You Made My Day

no small task on this monday morning, mamika. moments after heading out the door i was greeted by a torrential downpour. remembering my 9am meeting and knowing there was no time to go back and change into a skirt and wellies (my torrential downpour bottom-half of choice), i plodded onward. flash forward 25 minutes, and i could be seen scolding myself out loud as i unsuccessfully navigated puddle after puddle after puddle. flash forward another hour or so and here i sit, my pants still soaked from the knees down. so soaked that the bottom hem of my pant came undone and dragged in the puddles. i feel pretty.

9 Eyes of Google Streetview

by Jon Rafman. It was only a matter of time before someone took the time to siphon off notable photos from Google's colossal streetview project. Sure, middle fingers abound, there are hookers aplenty, bare butts galore, people prone on dirty streets, and some profoundly depressing images... but seriously it's worth a look. not my best sell, i know, but i think you'll see what i mean if you take a gander.

gift guides

i got P a jack spade wallet for his birfday (what it lacks in creativity it makes up for in utility?)... nice to see ole jack has a sense of humor... guess it runs in the fam.

bunny bag

clearly, CLEARLY, i am too old (and poor) for this bunny bag. but that doesn't stop the kid (who said goodnight to every one of her stuffed animals before falling asleep) in me from (not so) secretly wanting one.

levity

yes, let's try to laugh off the impending blanket of frigid weather that this way comes. via

kush

love dre. love snoop. so i'm really digging what they're saying is the first single off dre's elusive next album... makes me wanna shake my tailfeather.

imagination

that's what this picture sparks. oh to be a kid wandering up and down this spiral staircase. oh to be an adult wandering this staircase....
